notes: when a website isn't a blog

i keep thinking about things i'd be happy to type up and pick apart that i worry i'd clog my site with if i put it on neocities. it's a silly concern but i see so many people whose sitemap is one or two big type-ups and the rsst serves as a kind of... i don't know. actually. they're always thoughtfully curated and the things displayed on them are important to (the webmaster for you to know about) the webmaster. but if i get my site set up the way i want i'm essentially going to have to figure out how to strip all of the cute updateables from my sidebars so i don't have to manually edit 400 pages whenever i make a minor change. i could just keep some stuff for bearblog but i'd really rather not. maybe what i need to do is figure out an iframe to host this there? it's non-negotiable that important stuff to me be crammed side by side with my thoughts on the new mountain goats album, since the whole point of me going semi-indieweb is to stop shutting up about things that don't fit the format of the site i'm on.

i'm also struggling with how i want to format stuff about osdd or kin. realistically i think i need a second template for nc that can be hyper-customized and then let the rivers run into eachother but. eugh. i've still only gotten about a third of the current css cleaned up and coherent and that isn't including the one i want to figure out for oc displays...

i think essentially my problem is that i want to host every post here also on neocities without running it over or crashing the site or pissing me off to do and the answer for that really is just going to be some kind of tabbable built in the way the old tumblr all in one pages used to work so i can divide the sections up and back and forth, and that might still end up being an iframe if my current abilities begin and end at making it on a seperate .html page
